Hotel in Bangkok and a few of my favorite things

We took train from Korat to Bangkok [besides this beauty of a snap shot we only have video of that adventure :) ] and then an eternal taxi ride through the endless traffic to our hotel.
[Here is a shot of some of the endless traffic and sidewalk shops there]
We stayed at the Grand Sukumvit. IT WAS INCREDIBLE!! When reserving the room online Matt had to answer all sorts of questions about what kind of pillows we liked and whether we wanted down blankets and at the end it asked for “reason for your stay” and just for fun Matt had put “Honeymoon!” meaning our second honeymoon since that is honestly how we have been treating this trip. Plus I was sitting by him while he filled it out this out so it was a cute kissable moment. Anyway, we didn’t think anything of it but apparently the hotel did and they went all out! We opened the door to our room expecting to find a nice room, but the lowest and cheapest room that the hotel had to offer. Instead the door swung open to a Huge Suite! I was freaking out! There was a walk in shower and tub and the tub was filled with water with flower pedals sprinkled in it. There was a live iris in a vase in the bathroom and more live flowers were tucked in the ornately folded towels and on the floor by the rug. Then there was a huge living room area with couches, a coffee table and a long desk along the wall. On the coffee table there was a heart shaped chocolate cake that said “Happy Honeymoon” on it and the silverware and napkins were decoratively placed and accompanied by more flowers. There was a mini bar with every kind of liquor, a snack bar and a fridge. Everything was so modern and new and I loved the style of it all. There was a wall of frosted glass that had a sliding door that led to the gorgeous bedroom. There were fresh flower pedals sprinkled on the bed in the shape of two hearts intertwined with some chocolates and another flower at the top of the bed. There was a flat screen TV in the bedroom and robes in the closet. The bed was HUGE and had fluffy pillows on it just how I like it. I was in heaven!

[Sadly this is the only picture of the room because I did the rest on the video camera walking through it all. What is worse is that this picture does not do the bed and room justice at all . . . I promise it was just a piece of heaven on earth. And that comforter laying so perfectly straight was down and the fluffiest duvet comforter you've ever had! You could lay on the top of it and it would form a mold of your body when you got up. I have no idea how they got it to be so perfectly straight . . .]

I want a frosted glass sliding door in my house someday. In fact, Matt and I have made quite a list of things we want in our house someday thanks to this trip.
1. A bum squirter
2. A Squatter
3. A drinking fountain
4. A frosted glass wall and door
5. A control box by the bed that controls all the lights, electronics and temperatures in the house (this hotel room has one!)
6. And thanks to the Tokyo airport where we are right now on our way home - we want this piece of furniture that is a padded square that is made up of four squares that are all different levels. There is one here and it is really comfortable to sit or lay on.

Someday . . .

[This is a blurry attempt at explaining the furniture thing at the Tokyo airport. . . I doubt it helps. You just have to see it in person.]
