Matt's OB Rotation
During Matt's OB rotation he had a little boy named after him. The parents weren't set on a name for him but after Matt worked with them through the labor they decided his name was meant to be Matt. The family took this picture of the two and sent it to us later. MY Matt is such a stud!!!

Learning to be a Big Sister
We signed Ellie up for a Big Brother/ Big Sister class that they were teaching at the hospital. They tried to explain the whole "where the baby is coming from" thing, but the part that Ellie really got into was when they taught her how to swaddle and hold a baby. We practiced and practiced with this doll and she was so proud! Her picture and certificate from the class still decorate our fridge door.

Carpet in the Kitchen??
Yes, who would have ever decided that carpet in the kitchen would be a good idea? After two years of dealing with the HOURLY spills of juice, milk, baby food, ketchup and every other thing imaginable we finally got the guts to tear out the carpet and lay tile!! YEE-HOO!! All I have to say is that my husband is amazing! He is always willing to jump in and do things that he has never done before and it always turns out AWESOME! Here are some pictures of our adventures - though I must add that I have never been good at keeping the camera going during the projects. At least there is a cute video of Ellie dancing on the final product :)
I also must add the pictures of our living quarters while this project was going on. The fridge, oven/stove, microwave, kitchen bench and dishwasher didn't make it back into the kitchen until the week I was DUE with Noah! And the walls still aren't patched or painted from tearing down the fake wood paneling! Don't you love home projects!! :)

Matt's Medical Boards
Matt took his medical boards exam on April 30th and I never got to share with everyone how sweet it was to see Ellie with him through it all. Every morning as he left to go to study at the library Ellie would race to get her shoes and then run to the door saying "Daddy I coming! Daddy I coming!!" It was a bitter sweet parting and even now she puts a backpack on and asks if she can go to school with Matt. She wants to be just like her daddy. Just yesterday we found her hiding in a room playing with his medical tools on her stuffed animals. These pictures share the precious memories of seeing Ellie "study" with Matt whenever he was home. You'll notice her copying his every move with his flash cards. She would even mumble stuff like she was reading them and then turn them over to see the answer.
P.S. Matt did amazing on the boards
